Goals
English Language Teaching Assistant (ELTA) program established in 2021 has been funded by the Ministry of Education. The goal of the ELTA program is to recruit part-time quality English teaching assistants to provide a rich and diverse English learning environment for students in Taiwan’s public elementary and junior high schools. The ultimate goal of this program is to offer Taiwanese students the opportunities to improve their English language skills and global awareness in an enriched and immersive environment by recruiting foreign ELTAs.

Thematic Lesson Teaching Assistant: Thematic lesson is given during the semester. Conversational English is emphasized and facilitated with topics/contents determined by ELTAs in collaboration with class instructors in the assigned schools.
Lesson Preparation with Teachers: ELTAs will collaborate closely with local teachers to develop effective lesson plans, utilizing their expertise and creativity to create engaging and impactful English learning experiences for the students.
