Inclusive Language Teaching Workshop

The KEERC were honored to welcome Judit Kormos from Lancaster University, UK, as the keynote speaker for our Inclusive Education workshop. Drawing on her extensive research and teaching experience, Professor Kormos introduced teachers to Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) in language learning and shared practical strategies for creating more inclusive and supportive English classrooms.
Participants noted that the workshop deepened their understanding of diverse learner needs, including students with dyslexia and ADHD. They also learned important lessons about applying the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL)—such as providing clear instructions, breaking tasks into manageable steps, and incorporating visual supports and multimodal teaching approaches—to better support all learners.

高雄市英資中心非常榮幸邀請到來自英國 Lancaster University 的學者 Judit Kormos 擔任本次「共融教育」研習的主講者。憑藉其深厚的研究背景與豐富的教學經驗,Kormos 教授帶領教師深入認識語言學習中的 特定學習困難(Specific Learning Difficulties, SpLDs),並分享多項實務策略,協助教師在英語課堂中打造更具包容性與支持性的學習環境。
參與教師也回饋表示,本次研習讓他們更深入理解學生多元的學習需求,包括閱讀障礙(dyslexia)與注意力不足過動症(ADHD)等情況。同時,教師們也學習到如何在教學中實踐 學習通用設計(Universal Design for Learning, UDL) 的理念,例如提供清楚明確的指令、將任務拆解為易於完成的步驟,並結合視覺輔助與多模態教學方式,讓不同學習需求的學生都能更順利參與課堂學習。
